But when her sister gets into a load o***al and financial trouble, Sandy accepts a too-good-to-be-true j...。The story takes us back to 1889, in the wake of primary school teacher Louise Violet who is sent to a village in the French countryside to enforce Republic schooling (which is free, compulsory and secular). It’s a mission which secures her unpopularity, among children and parents alike…。
