报社记者袁永定遇到了一位前来登寻人广告的女子如花，无意中才发现了该名冷艳的女子原是鬼魂，早在50年前，如花结识了一名纨绔子弟十二少陈振邦。并深深爱上了这名多情的公子，两人已到了谈婚论嫁的地步，由于身份悬殊，遭到了十二少家人的极力反对。无奈之下，他们以胭脂扣定情，一起吞鸦片殉情。如花未能在地府看到自己的爱人，便到阳间寻找。 如花在两名记者的帮助下，得知原来当年十二少被人救活了，如今生活潦倒。面对十二少的懦弱，如花伤心欲绝，把胭脂扣返还，回到阴间投胎转世。。拉丽莎（阿丽萨·弗雷因德利赫 Alisa Frejndlikh 饰）拥有非常美丽的外表，她本是衔着金汤匙出生的千金小姐，无奈家道中落，如今的一家人过着捉襟见肘的生活。拉丽莎有两个姐姐，她们都已经嫁为人妇，拉丽莎是母亲最后的希望，母亲想要她嫁给一个有钱人，如此她才能够再度过上富裕的日子。 拉丽莎爱上了名叫巴拉托夫（尼基塔·米哈尔科夫 Nikita Mikhalkov 饰），与此同时，一个邮政部门的小职员卡朗迪耶谢夫（安德烈·米亚赫科夫 Andrey Myagkov 饰）也在热烈的追求着拉丽莎。本来，拉丽莎和巴拉托夫之间感情发展的很顺利，哪知道天有不测风云，巴拉托夫破产了，之后，他选择了离开。痛苦之中，拉丽莎被卡朗迪耶谢夫趁虚而入，两人订了婚。。The subtitle of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet’s first feature, from 1965, “Only Violence Helps Where Violence Reigns,” suggests the fierce political program evoked by their rigorous aesthetic. The pretext of the film, set in Cologne, is Heinrich Böll’s novel “Billiards at Half Past Nine,” which they strip down to a handful of stark events and film with a confrontational angularity akin to Bartók’s music that adorns the soundtrack. The subtlest of cues accompany the story’s complex flashbacks. The middle-aged Robert Fähmel tells a young hotel bellhop of persecutions under the Third Reich| his elderly father, Heinrich, an architect famed for a local abbey, recalls the militarism of the First World War, when his wife, Johanna, incurred trouble for insulting the Kaiser. A third-generation Fähmel is considering architecture, just as the exiled brother of Robert’s late wife, returns, only to be met by their former torturer, now a West German official taking part in a celebratory parade of war veterans. Straub and Huillet make the layers of history live in the present tense, which they judge severely. The tamped-down acting and the spare, tense visual rhetoric suggest a state of moral crisis as well as the response—as much in style as in substance—that it demands.。
