圣诞树系列最终章，深度剖析“圣诞”所带来的希望与感动。故事场景移到100年以前的1914年，伊万与塔提亚娜相识在圣诞舞会上，二人相约第二年在此圣诞树下再见。随后一战爆发，两人在此地重逢，不同的是，舞厅已变成病房。圣诞节即将来临，可有规定战争时期禁止摆放圣诞树。两人约定，如果收集到一百万人签名，就在病房里摆放一棵圣诞树。伊万在报纸上发通告，两周时间就收集到一半的签名。可离圣诞节只有一天时间了，从军方前线收集到的签名发生意外……这个圣诞节，是苦难大于欢乐，亦或者是希望大于苦难？。Joe Bell is a penny-pinching hermit saving for the day when his real life will begin.
