长不大的北京男孩房洪钧，被朋友们唤作“房子”，房洪钧和妻子刘亚梅仅有的那个遮风挡雨的回迁房——他们生活、情感纠葛的地方；房洪钧的命运转折也是因为房子……因此，这是一个关于房子和房子的故事。。故事从一个包开始。工地厨子刘跃进丢了个包，为了找包，刘跃进开始了一段惊险而又刺激的旅程…… 刘跃进找遍了所有他能想到的地方，没有发现脸上有片杏花痣的偷包贼。正当他一筹莫展的时候，接到了一个电话，电话那边一个冷漠的声音告诉刘跃进，如果再不打钱，他儿子就死了！ 为了儿子，刘跃进打算豁出去。刘跃进搁下包的事儿，决定先找工头任保良，要回欠他的工钱。 刘跃进壮着胆子扛了一捆麻绳找任保良要钱，却撞上了来找"演员"的工地老板严格。严格安排刘跃进为自己演出戏，戏演好了，不仅有演出费，还把工钱一起结了。刘跃进爽快地答应下来。 刘跃进精湛的演技没能骗过严格的老婆瞿莉，刘跃进要钱无望，想到了一个人--发廊老板娘，马曼丽。马曼丽和刘跃进一样，也离了婚。马曼丽在工地附近开了一间发廊，刘跃进平时没事儿的时候常常到发廊里，不为别的，就为听听女声；也不光为了听女声，还有一个原因，马...。Greece, in the 1920's, is occupied by the Turks. The country is in turmoil with entire villages uprooted. The site of the movie is a Greek village that conducts a passion play each year. The leading citizens of the town, under the auspices of the Patriarch, choose those that will play the parts in the Passion. A stuttering shepherd is chosen to play Jesus. The town butcher (who wanted to be Jesus) is chosen as Judas. The town prostitute is chosen as Mary Magdalene. The rest of the disciples are also chosen. As the movie unfolds, the Passion Play becomes a reality. A group of villagers, uprooted by the war and impoverished, arrive at the village led by their priest. The wealthier citizens of the town want nothing with these people and manipulate a massacre. In the context of the 1920's each of the characters plays out their biblical role in actuality.。
