Today Helen is a different woman dedicated to her car...。2004年某矿区小镇面临动迁，一具被焚烧的女尸出现在警局门前，死状和10年前当地发生的一起恶性未结案件极为相似，即将退休老刑警褚志强和因工作过失被下调到矿区刑侦队的张韬成为同事，合力侦破案件，在小镇动迁的同时也揭开了过往留下的悲剧真相 。。两个好朋友同时爱上了一个女孩，结果彼此退让，在友情与爱情之中经历了一番考验。看来老套平凡的故事，但因为两个男主角的性格和关系灌注入谭咏麟与曾志伟在银幕下的真性情，因此两人演来特别有感觉，可以说真正擦出了火花，而张曼玉扮演令他们心仪的女孩，表现也相当细腻动人。导演陈可辛用港片中较罕见的清新淡雅手法来处理这个三角恋爱故事，让人看得十分舒服，也使一向只会搞笑的曾志伟用人性化的演出获得一座香港电影金像奖的最佳男主角奖。。
