故事发生在清末民初之际，世道混乱，群雄横起，正是英雄谱写传奇的多事之秋。凭借形意拳独步江湖的山西太谷镖局总镖头戴海臣（王庆祥 饰），将总镖头的位置传给入室大弟子刘安顺（霍建华 饰），并将女儿戴戎（刘一含 饰）许配与他。谁知一连串的变故让安顺跌入谷底，他被迫远走京师，而太谷镖局的总镖师则由安顺的副手李希平（李健 饰）接任，此后希平更娶了戴戎为妻。另一方面，安顺偶然遭遇泼辣的女土匪路瑶婷（贾青 饰），一镖一匪之间竟因奇妙的因缘慢慢产生了感情。 时局动乱，战火纷飞，在时代变革的重大时刻，曾经在江湖上占有重要席位的镖师们将经历时代的猛烈冲击……。Nawazuddin Siddiqui (Ali ) plays a character of an extortion debt collector for the local goon along with Arbaaz Khan (Maqsood ).
